The Post-Tonal Tool Kit is a comprehensive application specifically designed for pitch-class and tone row analysis in the realm of post-tonal music. Some of the standout features include a PC Set Calculator, a Subset/Superset Calculator, and a Matrix Calculator.

The PC Set Calculator supports the analysis of sets ranging from three to twelve pitches, offering:

 <li>Normal form</li>
 <li>Prime form</li>
 <li>IC Vector</li>
 <li>Z-Mate</li>
 <li>Tn Invariance</li>
 <li>TnI Invariance</li>
</ul>

In addition to the above information, the calculator can derive inversion and complement sets and analyze subset and superset relationships within the sets—an invaluable resource for analyzing Webern compositions!

WHAT’S NEW!!!

The Matrix Calculator generates matrices with a maximum of twelve pitches, adopting the Straus/Roig-Francoli row numbering system (from Introduction to Post-Tonal Theory/ Understanding Post-Tonal Music), where P and I row labels correspond to the initial pitch class.

The matrix allows highlighting any number of pitch classes, with the chosen set seamlessly transitioning back into the PC Set Calculator for further examination. This feature proves exceptionally beneficial for comparing trichords, tetrachords, and hexachords!
